Who is the Famous Kpop Idols

South Korea’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Tourism together with Sejong School Foundation did a survey to find out which K-POP Group is the most well-known among foreign students. The polling survey was filled in by 604 foreign students studying in the foundation.

The top 10 results are:

1. Big Bang (18.3%)
2. Girls’ Generation (15.1%)
3. Super Junior (13.9%)
4. EXO (11.1%)
5. TVXQ (8.9%)
6. PSY (8.3%)
7. 2NE1 (7.6%)
8. CN Blue (6.8%)
9. 2PM (6.4&)
10. Shinhwa (5.8%)

It is also found out from the survey that 66,1% of the foreign students, mostly Asian, first learned about Korea from pop culture (K-POP, movies, dramas). Only about 12% said that they learned about it from news on politics, economy and diplomacy.
